Challenge:

The Brazilian market often deals with highly contaminated post-consumer plastic waste. Our client faced a common industry hurdle: Traditional hydraulic screen changers required a manual mesh change every 5–10 minutes due to the high level of paper labels, wood chips, and aluminum scraps in the material. This resulted in:

• High Labor Cost: Constant manual intervention.
• Material Waste: Significant melt loss during screen changes.
• Inconsistent Quality: Pressure fluctuations caused variations in pellet size and density.

Purui Customized Granulating Solution:

Purui Machinery designed plastic film granulating line integrated with the latest filtration technology:

Step 1: Specialized Cutter Compactor

Equipped with a hih-torque motor to densify the mixed HDPE/LDPE/LLDPE film scraps efficiently, removing residual moisture through frictional heat.

Step 2: Automatic Laser Filter

Instead of a mesh, we installed an Auto Laser Filter. The high-precision scraper continuously removes impurities from the filter plate surface.

• Efficiency: Can handle up to 5% contamination levels without stopping.
• Filtration Fineness: Reaches 100μm–200μm, suitable for high-end downstream applications.

Since commissioning in 2025, the plant has achieved:

• Continuous Production: The line now runs 24 hours without downtime for screen changes.
