Q: Can I process PE film and PP woven bags on the same washing line?
A: Yes. Both are polyolefins with similar densities that float in water. However, the washing line must be designed with “soft material” handling features (like specialized shredders) to accommodate both.
Q: What is the difference between HDPE washing line and PE film washing line?
A: While both use density separation, film washing line requires specialized anti-wrapping shredders and “Squeezing” dryers to handle the light, flexible nature of the material, which would otherwise clog standard rigid equipment.
Q: How do I handle heavily soiled agricultural film?
A: For films with 30%+ sand or soil, a Pre-washer (Trommel) or a Sand Remover is added at the start to protect the downstream granulator blades from rapid wear.
Q: What is “Squeezer Dryer” and why is it used?
A: Standard centrifugal dryers often leave 10%–15% moisture in films. Squeezer machine uses a screw to mechanically compress the film, reducing moisture to 3%–5% through friction and pressure.
Q: How much water does a washing line consume?
A: Without a filtration system, water consumption is high. However, plastic washing lines use a Closed-Loop Water Treatment System that can recycle up to 90% of the process water.
